This is a great project! I think a lot of teachers would love to have those resources. I think your next step is to really get specific about which standards you each want to be responsible for and the format for making a disk. How will you name the files? Will you include lesson plans and blackline masters when available. How will teachers know what videos are included on the CD? Will you write summaries or use theirs? What guidelines will you use to choose which videos make the cut?

First grade and kinder teachers will begin by working on Social Science 1.1.2. Understand the elements of fair play and good sportsmanship, respect for the rights and opinions of others, and respect for rules by which we live, including the meaning of the "Golden Rule."
We are goin to use unitedstreaming as a resource to download videos to support the standard. We will print out a list of the videos and preview them during our group meetings. After the appropriate videos have been selected they will be organized and burned to a CD.

In addition to previewing to videos we will review the guidelines posted at united streaming website and determine whether it is grade level appropriate. Using the star system to help us sort through the list.

Hey guys,
I made a character development CD already, if you want to take a look at it. If you are feeling like you need to do this first one as a group, that's fine, but I think your time would be better spent if you divide and conquer. Especially since you talked about doing it at home for faster connection, where you will not all be together. Have each person take a different standard and make a different CD. What is your deadline to have this done?
